I really want to cosplay as Pyro. If I had the skill/money to gather materials and build up the flame-retardant suit and flamethrower, and get a gasmask, it would be so awesome. I wouldn’t even care if I was at a convention or not (hell I’ve never even been to one), I would wear that thing as often as I could haha. It’s a thing I can identify with Pyro, hiding from head-to-toe and not worrying about people judging you based on your gender or how you look. Also one of the reasons I’m so comfortable on the internet…

Pyro (melee taunt)?

hmm. Medic. I love the boots and lab coat, and the aesthetic of how the coat fans(? I know there is a better word) out when he’s rushing to heal someone :> the animation and his posture do help, but lab coats are awesome anyway..

I’d love to cosplay as him just for that uniform but not with my figure.

I can play Medic and Pyro the best. My faults as Medic usually go by relying on whoever I’m pocketing at the moment (just fyi though I don’t pocket people 100% of the time.. I heal everyone heh). If the other player is bad I don’t last too long, especially if I’m on fire.. and I am not good at hacking people in the brain lol. Mostly I just run away and shoot syringes.

My Medic loadout is the Vita-Saw (the 20% ubercharge saved on death seems more worth the health? I don’t live very long anyway unless the other team sucks lol), Medigun and Blutsauger.

As Pyro I probably abuse the M2 key too much and lose in Pyro vs. Pyro.. For some reason I got worse at those duels LOL. Usually though I light the enemy up and if they run away shoot them with my shotgun. I don’t use the flare gun much, the shotgun is better to me. Still not too good at reflecting rockets, though I’m better than before I played Pyro Dodgeball with Towel. Currently trying to get better at Degreaser+Axtinguisher/Postal Pummeler combo, but most of the time I forget to switch.

Scout/Pyro is a favorite pair of mine though, and isn’t too much represented (at least not as much as things like Heavy/Medic and Sniper/Spy, or helmet party). I love them being best buds, hanging out, whether in fanart or fanfic. I wish there was more of them. Doesn’t matter if it’s romantic or not. I just wanna see more Scout and Pyro :u

Well I think Medic goes without saying. You usually you need a healer nowadays, at least for boss fights. He can probably double as a Summoner class too (hahaha that mental image..this is so not canon). He’ll summon BIRDS! Anyway… I also tend to like pure melee characters (but alas, I am a fail demoknight). And gotta have a Black Mage Pyro.

So: Medic, Demoknight, Pyro, and I guess Heavy to round it off if you like 4-member FF parties!

if we were talking like WoW party makeup though.. Bear!Heavy, Priest!Medic, Mage!Pyro, Hunter!Sniper, and hmm Shaman!Engie. (Personally I don’t like having to heal melee in WoW ‘cause they usually just stand in shit. Plus, who doesn’t like totems?)

I dunno how off topic or out of character this got but eh. I’ll have to draw ‘em all out with different possible jobs/classes to really figure it out. Scout would totally roll a ret pally. Ahh I can see it now..

Characters I think would have a good time/want to go: Pyro, Scout, Heavy (omg Heavy!), Demoman

Characters I think would sound terrible and therefore hilarious: Medic (get him drunk, it seems a general consensus that he can’t hold his liquor) and Spy (heh heh); Soldier probably would be awkward (never used one of these karaoke contraptions) and mess up on timing on lyrics hahaha

Engie and Sniper probably would refuse to sing. Engie might just to avoid conflict but he’d be too shy to really belt out anything? Same with Sniper. Unless he is drunk I guess. lol.

Now I can’t stop laughing about Soldier trying to figure out this doohickey karaoke machine. Engie might have to help him out there (and thus getting himself to sing too).

Um, so let’s go with Heavy as my answer, because Heavy omg fun times :D plus he already wants people to sing with him, it’s canon.

sheesh uh.. ok, deleting all the dumb text of me categorizing characters, and going with Engie as my answer. idk, Engie seems like the most grounded guy. He’d probably be a really awesome dad. Can’t think of anything bad if he was my parent. :v

I usually don’t start out a game or cartoon or w/e looking for characters to “ship,” as they say, so most of the time it just falls into place from the canon itself. And unless it really is canon, romantic depictions are awkward to me at first but I eventually warm up to it.

The dynamics of their roles in the game is something I’m already easily attracted to (I love teams of 2 that have to play off each other’s strengths and weaknesses, working together to reach a common goal, or just the chemistry between a healer and a tank in general hurr damn you WoW). And the fandom’s depiction of the Heavy’s and Medic’s relationship/interactions on/off the battlefield in art and fiction play off the duo’s teamwork, which helps.

idk, I like fluffy fanwork in general too. The size difference might be a thing but I’m not conscious of it. Then there’s of course the medical aspects and the Heavy’s freaking muscles. And the fanart is always sexy as SHIT ok, Kass’ are my favorite because of the attention/detail to anatomy. Muscles in the face and neck and hands, man. Dammit I just love everything about Heavy and Medic! Let’s just stick with that. That’s why it’s an OTP, right?

Platonic, romantic, idealistic, unrequited or otherwise, I love ‘em.
